About Our Range of Integrated Ovens
Integrated ovens (also known as built-in ovens) are not to be confused with built-under ovens. Built-under models sit directly on the kitchen floor and slot in beneath your worktop, while built-in models are designed to be fully integrated within your kitchen units.
Our extensive range includes both single and double built-in ovens, electric and gas options, and combination oven and microwave units – providing something for every home. All our integrated ovens come with intuitive controls and a host of convenient features to make cooking easier and more enjoyable.
From compact, budget-friendly models to larger double ovens packed with premium features, we offer a wide selection to suit your needs. Many of our ovens are A-rated for energy efficiency, helping you reduce your energy bills. We also stock several models with an EU energy rating of A+. These ovens are exceptionally well insulated, with some featuring triple glazing, designed to lower power consumption over the medium and long term.
Choose from stainless steel, white, or black finishes to perfectly complement your kitchen’s style. Plus, when you buy multiple products together (such as an oven, hob and cooker hood), you can save up to 5% on your total order.

Built-in Ovens FAQs
-
Are built-in ovens a standard size?
Yes – most ovens are manufactured in standard sizes to fit within kitchen units. For example, a single oven is typically designed to fit a 60cm-wide space, with a few millimetres of clearance to allow for fitting. Double ovens are generally taller to accommodate the additional capacity. At Cookology, we offer several ovens with a reduced depth of 530mm, designed to make installation easier in tighter spaces where pipework may be present. See our Size Guide: Double vs Single Ovens for more details.
-
How much does it cost to fit a new built-in oven?
The cost will depend on the complexity of the installation. Electric built-in ovens require wiring into your home’s mains electricity, which is generally straightforward. Gas ovens, however, must be installed by a Gas Safe registered engineer, which may be more expensive. Some of our ovens come with a UK 13-amp plug, meaning you can simply ‘plug and play’ – avoiding expensive installation costs.
-
Do you need an electrician to install a built-in oven?
While it’s possible to install a built-in oven yourself, it’s strongly recommended that you hire a qualified electrician, unless fitted with a UK 13-amp plug. Unlike many kitchen appliances, many electric built-in ovens aren’t simply plugged in – they need to be hard-wired into your home’s electrical circuit. Attempting this without the proper expertise can be dangerous and may result in incorrect installation or safety hazards.
-
How do I know what size built-in oven I need?
Start by measuring the available space – width, height and depth. Once you have these dimensions, you can browse our Cookology integrated ovens using filters by size to find the perfect fit. If you’re looking to make the most of your space, a double oven can be one of the most useful appliances in terms of the space they occupy and their practicality – the perfect oven for cooking a traditional Sunday lunch!
-
Can you install a built-in oven under a worktop?
No. Built-in ovens are not designed to go under a worktop. For this type of installation, you’ll need a built-under oven, which is specifically designed to fit below kitchen counters and sit on the floor.
-
Will a 60cm oven fit into a 60cm gap?
Yes. A 60cm oven is made to fit a 60cm-wide cavity. In practice, the appliance is usually a few millimetres smaller to allow for easy installation.
-
Do built-in ovens need ventilation?
Yes – proper ventilation is essential. It helps prevent overheating and ensures the appliance operates safely by dispersing heat, steam and cooking fumes.
-
Is it hard to replace a built-in oven?
It depends. Swapping a like-for-like model of the same size and fuel type is usually straightforward. However, switching from electric to gas (or vice versa) is more complex and should be carried out by a qualified professional.
