  • Are integrated fridge freezers worth it?

    For the right kitchen, absolutely. If you value a clean, seamless aesthetic and want your appliances to blend into your cabinetry rather than stand out from it, an integrated fridge freezer is a great investment. They perform just as well as freestanding models and tend to add to the overall finish of a kitchen.

    It’s worth bearing in mind that integrated appliances are more of a permanent appliance, as they’re fitted into your units rather than simply plugged in. If you’re planning to redecorate, move house, or want more flexibility, a freestanding model might be a better fit. But if you’re settled in your kitchen and want it to look its best, an integrated model is hard to beat.

  • Are integrated fridge freezers a standard size?

    Generally, yes. Most integrated fridge freezers are designed to fit within standard 60cm wide kitchen units, so they typically measure around 55-60cm in width to allow for a proper fit and adequate ventilation. Depth is usually around 55cm too, in line with standard cabinetry.

    Height is where things vary a little more. Undercounter integrated fridge freezers are built to slot into a standard undercounter space, while taller models can differ, though 177-178cm is the most common height for full-size integrated fridge freezers. If you’re replacing an existing appliance, it’s always worth double-checking the dimensions before you order.

  • Can you get a slimline integrated fridge freezer?

    Not really, as integrated appliances are generally designed to slot neatly into existing cabinetry, so their sizes are pre-determined. It’s worth knowing that most integrated fridge freezers are already relatively slim compared to freestanding models – typically around 54-55cm wide, designed to fit neatly inside a standard 60cm kitchen cabinet. Going narrower than this for an integrated fridge freezer is rare and would only really make sense in a kitchen with fully custom cabinetry built around a specific appliance size.
